how to enter

Entries can be submitted by either the client company or organisation, or their search agency in English, French, German or Spanish.

To enter please download the online entry form below and complete this. Please then submit your entry on the ‘Enter Now’ page by completing the online section and uploading your entry form.

Please also upload your company and / or client’s logo, this should be in Jpeg format and not exceed 2MB

All entries* will be charged an administration fee of €60 (+ VAT if applicable) per entry which must be paid when submitting your entry or entries. If you are based in the UK you will be charged VAT, if you are based in Europe and wish not to pay VAT you must provide your EU VAT number at the time of entry.

*Entries in the Young Search Professional and European Search Personality will not be charged an admin fee.

*Entries submitted after the first closing date of 7 February 2015 will be charged a late submission fee, the cost per entry after 7 February 2015 will be €95 (+VAT if applicable). Please Note: Final Deadline is 14 February 2015 with late submission fee.

The Judging Process

Judges will read and pre-score all entry forms, considering any supporting materials submitted. Judges will be asked to give a score for each question within the entry form, as listed in the bullet points below. These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges pre-scores will then be combined and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists. 

Judges will meet to discuss the highest scoring entries and then agree the winner for each category. The shortlists will be announced on the 12 March 2015. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 22 April 2015 in Berlin.  

Judging Criteria (Campaign Awards 1 – 15) 

The judges will be looking for clear objectives, creative and effective implementation and tangible and demonstrable results in the campaign award categories. They will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry. Entries should not exceed 1000 words in total and should relate to work undertaken between January 2014 - February 2015.

Each entry must include information under the following headings:

•   Total budget

•   Objectives

•   Strategy & target audience

•   Creativity & implementation

•   Results & evaluation

Any entries that do not include information under all of these headings will be marked down. If appropriate you may include one set of supporting materials.

Judging Criteria (Innovation / Software Awards 16 - 19)

The judges will be looking for a clear description of an outstanding innovation or software product, with indication of budget. Judges will be looking for new features / tools added in the last twelve months for the software awards. They will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry. Entries should not exceed 1000 words in total and should relate to work undertaken between January 2014 – February 2015. 

Each entry must include information under the following headings:

•   Total Budget

•   Overview of the innovation or software

•   Why you think your entry should win

Any entries that do not include information under all of these headings will be marked down. Please do ensure your entry or supporting material includes a demonstration of the innovation / software either in the form or a short video or link to an online video. 

Judging Criteria (Team / Agency / Individual Awards 20 - 25)

Judges will be looking for teams, agencies and individuals that can demonstrate an ongoing and sustained commitment to delivering best practice while showing a creative and innovative approach to search. Judges will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry. Entries should not exceed 1000 words in total and should focus on work completed between January 2014 –January 2015

Each entry must include information under the following headings:

•   Details of the team / agency / individual

•   Team / agency / individual objectives

•   Recent campaign example

•   Recent achievements

•   Challenges

•   Why you think your entry should win

Entries for the Young Search Professional category must include the nominees date of birth and their age must be 25 or under on the date of the awards ceremony of 22 April 2015.

Confidentiality 

All materials will remain confidentail to the judges. Wiinning case studies may be used in post-event materials to promote best practice and permission will be sought from entrants before publishing these.
